What happens when you get a bunch of brilliant women together to chat bras and breasts? A fabulous day well-spent, it turns out! That’s exactly what happened when we held our first Royce Lingerie x Future Dreams event on 24th March – here’s all the gossip from that day…
It was a wonderfully sunny day in King’s Cross, London, for our very first joint event with breast cancer charity Future Dreams to celebrate the launch of our new Comfi-Bra Blush. Taking place in the new Future Dreams House (the UK’s only specialised breast cancer support centre), this was a chance for women on their own breast cancer journey to come together, share stories, and get fitting advice and support over some lovely drinks and nibbles.
Star guest was the inspirational Carly Moosah – breast cancer survivor and model in our own summer campaign last year – who shared her story with the guests. At the age of 37, and on the day before her daughter’s fourth birthday, Carly was diagnosed with stage 2, grade 3 breast cancer. Since then, she has had a double mastectomy, lymph node removal and DIEP flap reconstruction using tissue from the stomach area to reconstruct the breasts (her “tummy tits” as she affectionately calls them).
Now cancer-free, Carly continues to fundraise for breast cancer charities and share her experience so women can spot signs of breast cancer early enough to get the right treatment, and become another proud survivor like her. You can read more about Carly’s story here. Thanks so much for joining us, Carly and continuing to be such an inspiration!
All of our guests were given a free Comfi-Bra Blush, our customer favourite in a brand new pale pink shade. With every sale of Comfi-Bra Blush, Royce is donating ÂŁ1 to Future Dreams so that they can continue their work dedicated to breast cancer support, awareness and research focusing on secondary breast cancer.
Our Commercial Director Francesca Fleming, said, “I’d like to thank everyone involved in hosting and attending our event – what a fabulous day we had at Future Dreams House! We’re so proud to be continuing our partnership with Future Dreams. Ensuring women facing breast cancer have access to advice and support is something that is close to our hearts at Royce, so we’re delighted that sales of the new Comfi-Bra Blush will be helping to raise vital funds for the charity.
“Women buying the bra will not only be getting one of our most comfortable and popular bras, but will also be supporting women going through one of the most challenging times of their life.”
Comfi-Bra Blush is a wirefree, super-soft, front-fastening bra designed to give superb comfort and beautiful shaping –features which make it perfect for women looking for a post-surgery bra, or an everyday comfort bra.
