Celebrate Galentine’s Day with our bra ‘best friends’

Put away the chocolates and roses, and stay away from the couples-filled restaurants this Valentine’s Day (we’re not rubbishing romantic love but why not celebrate your partner on a slightly less clichéd day?). We want to spend this February celebrating Galentine’s Day and all the wonderful women we’re friends with.
Did you know that Galentine’s Day, which takes place on 13th February every year, originated from the US sitcom Parks & Recreation, starring the fabulously funny Amy Poehler back in 2010? What started as a playful joke and a platonic ‘cousin’ of Valentine’s Day, has now been embraced by the mainstream as an opportunity to appreciate the female friends in our lives. Yes, you’ll find plenty of Galentine’s cards, spa breaks and brunch deals to spend money on, but you can also choose to simply spend quality time with your favourite gal pals – arrange to meet for a walk or a coffee, catch-up with long-distance friends via FaceTime, send your best buddy your funniest memes, or plan a good ol’ chat on the phone.
